About me

About me

Hello! My name is Luca Milioto, aka Lucas Miles De Blanch

"I'm 32 years old, born in Udine, but I have deep Southern roots, with a Sicilian father and a Neapolitan mother (quite an explosive mix, especially when they argue!). I have a twin sister, an older sister, and an old, decrepit dog named Artù, who always waits for me wagging his tail, like Argos with Odysseus when I return from my travels."

I studied music for ten years at the conservatory in my city, becoming a French horn teacher.

I also graduated, not in a hurry, with a Bachelor's degree in Business Economics.
Academically speaking, one could say that I am a kind of Doctor-Master or Master-Doctor, whichever you prefer.

Having not participated in any Erasmus program during my university studies, I decided to undertake my first foreign experiences in the unusual role of an Au pair (the babysitter, so to speak), living for a few months in England, then in France, and finally in Germany.

Back in Italy without a penny to my name, but with a strong desire to get back in the game, I took on various odd jobs (including cellphone promoter, pizza delivery guy, and middle school teacher) while waiting to find the job of my dreams.

After a lot of unsuccessful searching, interrupted by two trips along the Camino de Santiago, I reluctantly decided to leave my home country and join the multitude of young "brain drain" migrants, searching for my own Eldorado, who knows where.

Never in my life would I have said to find fortune in the heart of Europe, more precisely in the Czech Republic, the homeland of Kafka, where my metamorphosis also took place: from a shy and uncertain boy to a brave man of the world.

Working for a well-known German airline in the last 5 years, I have been able to fulfill my dream of becoming a young Globetrotter, traveling far and wide and completing a trip around the world in 80 days, as in the famous novel by Jules Verne.

At the end of last year, after careful consideration, I decided to return to my home country, both to be close to my elderly parents and to create a better future for myself, alongside my dearest friends and my girlfriend."

"In the past few months, after repeatedly questioning my path in the world, I decided to create this website, in my own image and likeness, with the intention of sharing my inner quest with the world. It consists of 10 simple questions that I hope can improve the quality of life for many of us."
